GEM staffs donate about 160,000 RMB for Yushu earthquake victims

“When disaster struck, help came from all side.” At 9:00, April 21st, GEM calls for a donation for Yushu earthquake victims among all the staff members.

At 7:49 April 14th, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Qinghai Province of mainland China when the whole nation is recovering from the raging agonies of Wenchuan earthquake in 2008. In 2 years, the evil earthquake has moved from Szechwan Basin to Qinghai-Tibet Plateau which has the same magnificent landscape, long historical standing, and a combination of Tibetan and Qiang culture as well as honest and life-enjoying people.

The earthquake is ruthless but we people are warm-hearted. The saying “When disaster struck, help came from all side” has been a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. The converging of love will save a precious life! Therefore, GEM staffs, leaded by Xu Kaihua, Chairman of the Board, immediately take actions to donate for the earthquake victims. The donation is held simultaneously in the headquarters and 3 branches (Shenzhen GEM High-tech, Jingmen GEM and Wuhan GEM), with all the staff members’ participation and a total amount of 159, 203 RMB. This donation reflects GEM’s corporate culture of harmony and love, and therefore enhances the social responsibility and inter bond of GEM.

Let’s mourn for those who died in Yushu earthquake of Qinghai Province! Let’s offer our deepest condolence for the victims! We believe that Yushu people will succeed in fighting against the earthquake!
